Ferragudo

Ferragudo resides within the Municipality of Lagoa, and is one of the last remaining unspoiled fishing villages. Ferragudo enjoys all the traditions that the Algarve has to offer. This is a fascinating village of narrow cobbled streets and steps. Whether sitting having a drink in one of the splendid bars along the streets or in "Ferragudo Square" or simply relaxing on the uncrowded golden beaches. Behind the Square in Ferragudo lies a labyrinth of old cobbled alleyways meandering up the hill to the town's church from where panoramic views extend over the estuary to the famous 17th century Fort "St. Catarina".
